Proliferation Report: U.S.-Origin Weaponry in Terrorist Inventories

Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF)

Tracking the flow of abandoned and diverted U.S. military hardware into the hands of non-state actors in the South Asian and Middle Eastern theaters.

In Pakistan’s continuing War on Terror, we are always talking about the weapons and equipment left behind by the catastrophic Biden administration withdrawal from Afghanistan in September 2021. Leaving over US$ 7 billion in weapons and equipment in the hands of the Taliban and global terror groups was a compounded mistake.

While the Taliban has sold some of the weaponry to US enemies in the region, they have also given/sold weapons to the terror groups, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Baluchistan Liberation Army (BLA), that target Pakistan’s civilians, law enforcement and military.

The video below showcases how the terrorists from 2001, who weren’t able to shoot straight, have advanced due to the training from Afghan National Army defectors, Special Forces and CIA shoot houses, and ranges that were used to enhance the skill set of the terrorists.
