Let’s have this conversation.
According to the Taliban leadership, the TTP, we will include BLA as well, is an internal issue for Pakistan. They have used this excuse to deflect Pakistan & China’s pressure on re-settling the TTP away from the Pak-Afghan border region.
The Taliban took USD 40m from the Qatari government to build settlements for the TTP, which was covered in the news and by CommandEleven. That’s where the money for the Ghazni encampments originated from, where the TTP are being re-settled.
We reported on these encampments back in Jul 2024 on our X handle, clearly explaining these also had training facilities and were right next to al Qaeda camps.
Let’s assume that Pakistan agrees with the Taliban that the TTP is an internal matter for Pakistan. Following that understanding, Pakistan has the right to strike ANY TTP camp, wherever it may be, including inside Afghanistan’s borders.
What the Taliban doesn’t realize, in their protection of the TTP, is they are committing an act of war against Pakistan, by providing safe haven to terrorists who threaten the national security of Pakistan, which also green lights the Taliban leadership as facilitators, specifically:
– Mullah Yaqoob, Defense Minister
– Sirajuddin Haqqani, Interior Minister
– Abdul Haq Wasiq, Director GDI
– Taj Mir Jawad, Deputy Director GDI
– Haibatullah Akhundzada, Emir Taliban
Now, we need to understand this entire conversation is based on the Taliban’s own claim of it being an internal matter for Pakistan.
It also means that ANY military base that is supplying weapons, explosives or training is also a legitimate target, which would mean the 201 Khalid bin Walid brigade under Abu Dujana & Abdul Rehman Mansoori, stationed at Laghman, would fall under this category. 201 Khalid bin Walid boasts the ability to train up to 2000 fighters at one time at any of its 12 satellite camps in eight provinces.
- 201 Khalid bin Walid Brigade (Helmand, Kandahar, Ghazni, Ghor, Saripul, Faryab, Farah and Maidan Wardak)
- Salahadin Ayyubi
- Abu Bakr Saddiq
- Abu Dujanah – Sar-i-Pul
- Abdullah bin Mubarak Jihad Training Camp
- Intiqam Giran-e-Quran – Faryab
- Khalid-Bin-Walik – Faryab
- Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour – Kunduz
- Omar Faruq
- Omari
- Omar ibn Khattab – Kunduz
It would also put al Qaeda’s Shorabak (Kandahar), which is one of AQ’s largest camps in Afghanistan, & Bermal (near where Pakistan carried out it’s airstrikes late last month) camp, in Pakistan’s sights as well, since AQ also provides support to the TTP.
What should be concerning to the international community is that ANY embassy, or consulate, providing assistance, whether tactical or material, to the TTP or BLA, will also be green light targets for Pakistan, as facilitators. This should concern one country, India, who has openly been identified by Indians themselves as using the TTP & BLA against Pakistan.
The Taliban, much like 2001, have a simple choice to make. In 2001, the US, through Pakistan, asked Mullah Omer to hand over Osama bin Laden. Mullah Omer refused.
Today, in 2025, Haibatullah Akhundzada should dismantle all TTP & BLA camps in Afghanistan and hand over their leadership and fighters to Pakistan in a negotiated surrender.
If he refuses, the options given above are available to Pakistan’s government & the Taliban, nor their supporters in the international community, should not be surprised when Pakistan decides to pursue one or all of them.
The Taliban should also keep in mind that the US will invade again with massive force, if terror attacks begin on their soil that trace back to Afghanistan.
Either way, the deck is stacked against the Taliban and the right decision, at the right time is the only thing that will save them from complete and total annihilation.
