There seems to be a fear that the Islamic State or al-Qaeda may use Syria as a foothold, making things unclear enough for any nation to start a discussion on relationships with the new administration yet.

TTP Leader’s Interview with CNN Triggers Strong Backlash

CommandEleven was quoted by Express Tribune over the anger towards CNN for interviewing TTP leader Noor Wali Mehsud. Analysts termed the CNN’s interview of Noor Wali Mehsud an attempt to legitimise the terrorist organisation and place it parallel to the Afghan Taliban, despite the fact that the TTP was a US-designated terrorist organisation, already neutralised by Pakistan, while the US and other countries are holding negotiations with the Afghan Taliban.
